Known as the "sacred fruit of the Western Regions", the Korla fragrant pear has a strong regionality and cannot be grown anywhere. Many people want to bring the Korla fragrant pear back to their hometown for planting, but the results are disappointing. The fruit is hard and fleshy. It is relatively thick, and Korla is located on the northern edge of the Tarim Basin at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains. It has an arid desert climate with hot weather and nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine throughout the year.
